Learning Styles:
All of the students took a “How I Like to Learn” survey at the beginning of school. According to this survey, the majority of the students in the class learn best from lessons that allow them to move around and “do” the learning (kinesthetic), with interpersonal and musical close behind. The students also enjoy working with partners to complete activities, such as partner reading and language arts experience writing activities. Another favorite of the class is to use a computer to compose one of their weekly writing assignments. We are not a 1:1 classroom, however, all students have access to a grade level shared laptop cart which houses enough laptops for each student. The students have free choice on which writing assignment they will compose each week.
